Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PilotLookup, operated by PILOTLAB LLC(“we”), 304 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89107. By creating an account or using the API you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Cookie Policy form part of this agreement.

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration details.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and API keys.
• API keys are secrets. Do not commit them to source control or expose them in client-side code. Tell us immediately at support@pilotlookup.net if a key leaks.
• One person or entity per account; do not resell access without a written agreement with us.

• The service is prepaid. One credit is consumed per lookup, whether through the API or a batch job row.
• Credits do not expire while your account is open.
• Batch jobs reserve credits up front. Rows that are never processed — including when a job fails or is cancelled — are refunded to your balance automatically.
• A lookup that returns no carrier match still consumes a credit: the work of querying the dataset has been done and the answer (“not found”) is a result.
• Input we cannot read is not charged. If a value is not a phone number we can parse, no lookup happens, so no credit is consumed — through the API, or as a row in a batch job, where it is refunded when the job finishes.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes you may owe.
• Credit purchases are non-refundable except as stated in section 4 or where required by law.

If the service materially fails to work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable period, you may request a refund of your unused credits within 30 days of purchase by writing to support@pilotlookup.net. We do not refund credits already spent on completed lookups.

Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits (among other things) using the service for unlawful calling or messaging, harassment, stalking, or building a competing dataset. We may suspend an account that breaches it.

Your data stays yours. You keep all rights in the phone numbers and files you submit. You grant us only the licence needed to process them and return a result.

Our data stays ours. The carrier dataset, the software and the PilotLookup brand are ours. You may use the results in your own business, but you may not redistribute the underlying dataset, scrape it in bulk, or use it to build a substitute service.

You warrant that you have a lawful basis to submit every number you send us and that doing so does not breach any law or agreement binding you.

• We aim for high availability but the service is provided without a uptime guarantee unless you hold a separate written SLA with us.
• Your rate limit is set by the largest credit pack you have purchased — 30 requests per minute on Starter, 100 on Professional, 200 on Business and 500 on Enterprise — and does not drop if you later buy a smaller pack. We may throttle traffic that threatens stability.
• We may perform maintenance, and will give notice of planned downtime where practical.
• Support is by email with a target response of one business day. Enterprise pack customers also get phone support on 1 888 370 6801 during business hours.

Carrier and line-type data comes from authoritative industry sources and is refreshed regularly, but number assignments change and porting happens constantly. We state a target accuracy of 99.9% as a description of typical performance, not a warranty.

You must not rely on a result as the sole basis for a decision with legal or safety consequences — including emergency routing, credit decisions or identity verification — without independent checks.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, or where required by law.

A suspension blocks sign-in and API access but preserves your data, credits and history, and can be reversed. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond. On termination for cause, unused credits are forfeited; otherwise we will refund unused credits.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your submission of data you had no right to submit.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties consent to venue there.

Before filing, please contact us — most disputes are resolved quickly by email.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the service and contact us about refunding unused credits.
